Historical Notation: The last of the large paper banknotes. Originally designed 184BY92mm based on measurement from The English Sterling Pound.
Over the 4 years of printing, Australian consumers disliked the size, the bulk of such banknotes.
The banknotes could only be placed in bill folds if folded BY4, a totally unmanageable sized banknote. They did not pass “ The Pub Test”
A newer and smaller design was introduced in 1923 with signatures Millers/Collins.
